Important win in VTB thanks to great shooting

BC Kalev/Cramo left nothing at the table against a strong Astana team and took a crucial 102:74 win at home.

Kalev players started off powerfully as they dominated in the rebounding category on both sides of the court and took an early 11:3 lead. As Mirkovic sank a three Kalev was up 22:11, Astana kept on trying to get back into the game but got no closer than 9 points. Kalev/Cramo responded with another big 13:2 run and the lead grew over 20 points in the middle way of the second quarter and went into the half with a comfortable 48:27 lead.

In the third, Astana got off to a better start but Kalev/Cramo respondend every time and with 6.14 to go in the fourth quarter Kalev had a 90:55 lead which paved the way to a nice 28 point win thanks to great rebounding effort by the team.

Moultrie finished with a nice 20 point and 11 rebound double-double,  Mirkovic added 18 points, Wroten 17 points and 8 rebounds while Lewis had a nice all-around performance with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists, Kitsing added 9 points and 9 rebounds.

Astana Anthony Clemmons finished with 18 points, Geoffrey Grosselle had 14 points and 8 rebounds while Horton and Jenkins finished with 11 points.

With their ninth win of the season to go with ten losses, Kalev/Cramo stays on the eight spot in the VTB table as Astana (12-7) keeps their fifth place at the moment.
