BC Kalev/Cramo finished their historic VTB regular season with a sweet 81:76 (51:34) victory against Lokomotive-Kuban. Kalev started the game in Saku Suurhall great, mostly thanks to baskets from Lewis and Wroten and won the first quarter 25:15. Second half they even stepped up their game and seemed like it was going to be an unexpectedly easy victory for Kalev/Cramo as they won the first half 51:34.
Coming back from the half-time break, Kalev gave away the initiative and Kuban started climbing back, step-by step and at one point the deficit was cut to three points. Led by the big three, Kalev/Cramo managed to hold on and get the important victroy. Tony Wroten had 24 points, Lewis and Moultrie added 16 points. Kuban who played without Kulagin and Fridzon were led by Jerome Randle who finished with 17 points.
Kalev has met with Kuban 12 times and this was their second victory. 14 wins and 12 losses makes this the best season in VTB so far for the Estonian side.
