BC Kalev/Cramo signed american big man Devin Thomas, who will be one of the key players down in the paint. Thomas, who has been characterized as an agressive rebounder and a fierce competitor.
The 26-year old and 206cm forward/center will be competing for playing time against Estonian National team big men Rauno Nurger and Kregor Hermet.
Born in Pennsylvania state, Thomas attended Wake Forest in 2012 til 2016 and played in 125 games. Not a bad number for a college that has produced players like Tim Duncan, Chris Paul and Darius Songaila. In his last college season he averaged 15.6 points, 10.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.6 blocks in 30.7 minutes.
Even though Thomas went undrafted, he got a chance in the Summer League in 2016 where he played for Minnesota Timberwolves and averaged 4.5 points, 6 rebounds and 1.5 steals in 20.9 minutes. After the Summer League, he signed with Turkish top tier team TED Kolejliler, where he played in 27 games and averaged 11.4 points and 7.7 rebounds in 31.5 minutes.
Then 23 year old player continued his career in Bilbao Basket in Spain where he had 8.7 points and 5 rebounds in 20.1 minutes after which in 2018/19 he had a short stint in Greece where he played 4 games for Lavrio and after that he had an even shorter stint in Israel where he played in 2 games.
Last season he averaged 13.9 points and 9.5 rebounds for Penarol in the Argentinian league.
