The team is set - Kangur resigns with Kalev/Cramo

After joining BC Kalev/Cramo last season, Kristjan Kangur has decided to resign with the club for the 2018/19 season!

While practicing with the club for the preparation of the season, the 35-year old player signed a contract extension which will bring back the beloved big man.

Due to Cedric Simmons leaving, Kangur was put on charge as the team captain for the rest of the season and in his fist VTB season he averaged 6.9 points and 4.5 rebounds, while in the Alexela Basketball League he averaged 7.3 points and 4.4 rebounds. Kangur was also chosen as the finals MVP in Alexela league.

After adding Kangur, the team is now set with 13 players. From last year – Martin Dorbek, Erik Keedus, Janari Jõesaar, Branko Mirkovic and Madis Soodla all extended their contracts and are coming back. The new players for the team this season are – Tanel Sookk, Chavaughn Lewis, Reggie Lynch, Maksim Salash, Kristjan Kitsing, Ivan Almeida and Landen Lucas!

The coaching staff is led by head coach Donaldas Kairys, assisted by Indrek Reinbok and Russell Bergman. Physios are still Priit Lehismets and Harvis Mill with the addition of 2 young coaches thanks to a mentorship program – Martin Rausberg and Asko Mänd.
