A thriller til the end

BC Kalev/Cramo faced Tallinna Kalev in an Estonian-Latvian United League game on Wednesday evening. After a quick 5:0 lead for the hosting Kalev/TLÜ, Cramo quickly replied with their own 9:2 run and the tight first quarter ended with a 20:18 lead for Kalev/TLÜ. Again in the start of the quarter Kalev/Cramo couldn’t get it going and in a short period of time, the TLÜ/Kalev was up 29:20 but thanks to two turnovers from them which resulted in 2 made threes the game was close again. Kalev/Cramo won the first half 42:39.

Favourites for the game, BC Kalev/Cramo could not grow the lead until the final minutes, when Kangur, Jõesaar, Lucas and Dorbek all scored to take home the close seven point win.

Landen Lucas scored 17 points and 6 rebounds, Kangur finished with 13 points and 6 rebounds, Mirkovic had 10 points and 7 assists while Dorbek finished with 9 and both Lynch and Jõesaar had 7 points.

For Tallinna Kalev/TLÜ veteran player Janar Talts had 18 points to go with 6 rebounds , Taylor Stafford who missed a crucial lay-up in the final minutes had 15, Karl-Johan Lips 13, Bamba Fall 10 and Jamaal Harrison 9 points.

BC Kalev/Cramo will hold their home season opener in VTB league on this Saturday, when they host BC Avtodor.
