VEF played great for the fourth time in a row

BC Kalev/Cramo has faced VEF four times this season and has been unable to win a game so far, after losing 85:75 (24:19, 16:17, 18:22, 27:17) in VTB league.

Kalev/Cramo last lead in the first half was 12:10 after a made three by Chavaughn Lewis, from the VEF took control of the game and grew their lead to double digits at one point but teams went to the half-time break with the visitors leading  – 36:40.

After the break, the tight game went on as Kalev managed to climb back and tie the score 53:53 and teams went to the final quarter all tied up, but a 14:2 run in three minutes gave VEF a comfortable lead and an important win for them.

VEF was on fire from the three making 12 of 26 shots which is 46% while Kalev/Cramo was unable to make a shot at home from behind the arc (2/17 which is only 11%). Andris Misters made four threes and finished with 15 points and Andrew Andrews had 13 points with three made threes for VEF. Steve Zack controlled the paint with 14 points and 9 rebunds.

Reggie Lynch had 14 points and 7 rebounds for Kalev/Cramo, Kristjan Kitsing had 12 and Arnett Moultrie 12 points and 8 rebounds for BC Kalev/Cramo.

Estonian guard Martin Dorbek had this to say after the game: “I can’t put this into words how disappointing it is to lose for the fourth time in a row to VEF. They’re a very uncomfortable opponent for us. We were prepared for them but it was not enough, I think we are a better team but losing four times in a row to them thats too much.”

Kalev/Cramo now has 6 wins and 9 losses in VTB which gives them the 9th position while VEF (4-13) is on the 11th spot.
