Without ejected Kairys, Kalev takes the bronze thanks to heroic shot by Kitsing

Estonian-Latvian United league bronze medal game against BC Kalev/Cramo and BK Ogre ended in a thriller as Kristjan Kitsing made a huge three to give the Estonian team a lead in the final seconds of the game. The game started of well for the Estonian side as they took an early 14:5 lead but thanks to a 9:2 run by Ogre they were quickly back in the game. The tight game continued into the second quarter as Kalev won the first half 43:40.

Led by Arnett Moultrie Kalev/Cramo took the initiative in the second half and after four minutes, Kalev/Cramo was up by ten points. As Latvians climbed back into the game things got heated in the final minutes of the third quarter which ended in Donaldas Kairys being ejected due to multiple technical fouls.

Ogre made all three gifted free-throws and the final quarter started with Kalev leading 65:61. Ogre was slowly climbing back into the game and 2.41 to go, Renars Magone helped Ogre take a 78:76 lead. In the final minute the score was 84:84 with Ogre shooting free-throws and after Sirnsinš made one and gave the team a crucial lead it was not enough as Kitsing made a huge three to close-out the game.

Lewis finished with 23 points, Moultrie added 19 points and 9 rebounds whil Mirkovic had 14 points. For Ogre Lasenbergs had 19, Zebergs 16 and Rinalds Sirsninš 15 points.
