Unics was just too good

Kalev/Cramo ended their VTB season with a loss to Kazan Unics. In front of a full house, Kalev had to admit a 84:96 (39:64) loss to the second seeded team and lost the series 0:3.

Even though Kalev started of great and the game was tight, Kazan played great and won the first quarter 36:27 and strolled to a 64:39 half-time lead mostly thanks to outstanding three point shooting (11/15). Kalev/Cramo tried and tried to climb back and in the final minutes of the game got the deficit down to 12 but time just ran out and Kazan took the victory.

Arnett Moultrie finished with 19 points, while Mirkovic added 17 points and 10 assists, Lewis had 14 and Kitsing 12 points. Tony Wroten was benched by the coaching staff due to breaking the team disciplinary rules.

Kazan who had a brilliant series finished shooting 58% from the three, Errick McCollum had 24 points, Jamar Smith 16 and Raymar Morgan 15 points.

Unics will probably meet Khimki in VTB semi-finals who is currently leading the series against Astana 2:0.
