BC Kalev/Cramo lost to BC Tsmoki-Minks in overtime 80:85 and practically lost their chances of a first VTB play-off experience. Kalev now has a record of 6-15 with games against CSKA, Astana and Zenit left.
Playing without Isaiah Briscoe, Cedric Simmons and Gregor Arbet, bigs Bojan Subotic and Thomas van der Mars stepped up finishing with 20 and 16 points. Chris Czerapowicz had 24 for the visitors. Tsmoki shot a lot better than us from behind the arc – 10/19 vs 6/21 meanwhile turning the ball over more 20-13.
After leading 54:45 in the third quarter, Kalev let the visitors take over the initiative and catch up to force an overtime despite Kalev having the chance to take the win in the last play of regular time. Tsmoki had more confidence in the extra period and got a first win in Tallinn in their VTB history.
