Enough to think about

BC Nižni Novgorod didn’t give BC Kalev/Cramo any chance in their VTB league game and took a comfortable 103:85 (52:32) victory at home. For Kalev its their sixth loss in seven games which puts them at the bottom of the league table.

Isaiah Briscoe had 29 points for the guests but also turned the ball over 6 times. Kristjan Kangur added 10, Sten Sokk and Thomas van der Mars 9 points. Kalev shot a louzy 40% from the field (including 5/21 from the deep) against the opponents 62% (crushing it behind the arc with 14/24). Pjotr Gubanov was the leading scorer for the hosts with 20 points, new guy Jake Odum finished with 17 points.

The home team started with a great 12:0 run (Kalev missed nine shots and made four turnovers) and held a comfortable lead til the end. The only bright spots for Kalev happened in the end of the first quarter when they wen on a 7:2 run and cut down the deficit to single digits.

The home team started the second quarter with another 10:2 run and took the half 52:32. The hosts did not show any mercy in the second half and pushed the lead to almost 30 points and in the end it was just finishing the game.

In VTB league there will be a small rest period due to National team window and Kalev will play their next game against powerhouse CSKA on the 4th of december in Moscow.
