Coleman joins BC Kalev/Cramo

BC Kalev/Cramo signed American guard Marqueze Coleman for the new season. The scoring guard joins Kalev/Cramo after a season in Portugal.

The soon to be 27 year old and 192 cm guard played in Nevada University coached by former Sacrament Kings and Golden State Warriors coach Eric Musselman. In his first two seasons at college, Coleman was considered a backup as he started only 5 games but during his third and fourth year he became a key player as he started in 49 games.

In his last college season he averaged 15.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.2 steals in 29.5 minutes while shooting 44.5% from the field, 30.9% behind the arc and 74.5% from the free-throw line.

Coleman started his professional career in Germany Second division where he played 7 games for Dresden Titans and averaged 8.7 points and 4.7 rebounds in 26.4 minutes after which he went to Portugal highest divison team Terceira. In Portugal he blossomed and averaged 19.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 33.4 minutes.

After a strong season in Portugal, he got an opportunity to play in NBL1 in Australia and for Ballarat Miners he played in 13 games averaging 16.2 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 23.3 minutes.

Last season before all basketball came to unexpected stop, he played for Vitoria SC in Portugal and was one of the leading scoreres in the league with 21.3 points.
